I’ve been reading the series mainly because I found the first four books for cheap. I have no intention of reading the whole series unless for some reason I’m still interested after book five. (I did this with Terry Goodkind’s Sword of Truth series. Got part way through book six and stopped.) As for Martin’s books, they will be the next big series I read. Thanks for the recommendation. Trust me, you'll enjoy it a lot more. This is assuming you already haven't done so. WoT is apparently good up to only book 6 or so. Then even devoted fans started shamming the series. It's at 9 or 10 now I think and doesn't seem to have an end in sight. I never got past the first Dark Tower book. But apparently the next books are quite good. Cheers!
