Zune Windows XP Theme

This is just an update to my last post. I have been made aware of Microsoft’s Zune theme for XP. I haven’t personally tried it yet, but it looks similar the Royal Noir theme (I’ve read that it is not too similar). For now I provide you with Microsoft’s download link and a link to downloadsquad’s November article.

I’ll post some screen shots later.

EDIT: Didn’t even notice the comment on CodeJacked about this. Also added images.

Windows XP – Windows Royal Theme

This by no means is new, but I feel like posting it anyway (you never know who might find it useful).

In the past I’ve always turned to plugins, mods, and third-party software to get a new look for my desktop (I personally like glossy colors like black, white, and darker blues and greens). But thanks to CodeJacked’s helpful article, I was able to re-find the Windows Royal/Royal Noir XP theme (it is based off the Media Center Edition theme).

Simply download msroyale.zip, extract to your windows theme folder (ex. C:\WINDOWS\Resources\Themes), and
click on luna.msstyles to install.

Hop on over to CodeJacked for their article. (It’s a great site btw) (Thanks to Mystique Wavefront for the file and close-up images)

StumbleUpon

Apparently I’ve been visited via StumbleUpon (~330 visits in a little over an hour). I’m not totally why, because frankly there isn’t really anything of interest here. As there are no new comments, I’m pretty sure the visitors felt the same. This goes to show the power of StumbleUpon and site like it. I hit “I like it!” at random today, and already got hits.

Sneakmove contest

Last Friday (1-19-07) Sneakmove decided to host a contest to see who could make the best remix of the iPhone ringtone. Well yesterday they announced the winner, but I’m posting this because I was surprised at the variety of the entrys! They range from your standard techno to funky alternative style mixes. Check out the list of submitted remixes here.
