Movies and Books

Alright I’ve decided to post a little update on how I’ve been passing the time while at my dads. I’ll start with my three favorite rented movies. Here they are in the order I watched them (number = preference): The Three Burials of Melquiades Esrada (2), The Snow Walker (1), and 25th Hour c. I enjoyed all three of these movies a lot, and, had complete boreddom not been such a major factor, I probably would have never seen these movies. As for movies I’ve seen it theaters, here they are in order from first seen to last: Lady in the Water, Clerks 2, and The Descent. Again good movies.

Now an update from my earlier post on books, I’ve now finished Stephen King’s Dark Tower 1: The Gunslinger which I really didn’t care to much for. Are the other books in the series any better? I’ve also finished book 3 (The Dragon Reborn) and 4 (The Shadow Rising) of Robert Jordan’s The Wheel of Time series. Unfortunately I don’t have book 5 of the series.

So, thats about it for books and movies this summer at my dad’s. I’m headed home on Thursday (8/10). I’m really looking forward to beging home for awhile since I’ve been away for about a month. Anyways, I’ll try to look for something interesting to post in the next few days, though honestly if you just browse the web you’ll probably find the same stuff as I do.

Books…

Well it is summer and once again I’m in Texas with not much to do. So I’ve been reading – mainly books that have been recommended by friends. Last summer I read the first five books of Terry Goodkind’s Sword of Truth series and part of the sixth before I got sick of reading them. I started my reading this summer at the begining of July with Robert Jordan’s The Wheel of Time: The Eye of the World then followed it with the second book of the series The Great Hunt. After reading the first two I have bought the next three books of the series (1-5). Before I start book three, I have decided to read Stephen King’s Dark Tower 1: The Gunslinger.

Basicly that is all for my reading this summer, but perhaps I’ll read more or less.
