CodeJacked Sold

As I mentioned in my last post (only mentioned, but because I forgot about trackbacks CodeJacked got a pointless one, sorry)…anyways, I mentioned that CodeJacked was up for sale. Well it has been sold (noticed the title did ya?). The final price was $999 which I feel is a decent price since the blog has only been going since Dec. 16th of 2006. Hopefully the buyer craig191 will be able to keep the blog up to the standard it was at (or find someone to do it). So until CodeJacked gets back up and running I guess I’ll have to do something productive…not that I’m a procrastinator…

Update: CodeJacked has removed their post on being up for sale…
Update2: craig has made his first post. CodeJacked is back :)

Update: Busy with life, blogs to read, and the 1940s…and Francis Townsend?

Once again I’m posting to apologize for the lack of life on this site. Hopefully come April things will have settled down for awhile so that I can pay some much needed attention to….well this blog for one (or at least if get less bogged down with stuff in general). I still check to make sure things are running and such, just haven’t posted. The best I can do right now is suggest some other readings and guess what? They’re already in my blogroll. The following would have to be my most read. CodeJacked would be on there but it is being sold so who knows how that’s going to end up.

Oh, just remembered, if anyone knows any good sites, books, information, etc on the following two topics I’d be more than happy to have the tips.

  • Francis Townsend (I have to do a debate ‘as’ him on the 3/15 3/26 based around the depression, FDR, etc) (Francis Townsend vs. FDR vs. Huey Long vs. Father Coughlin)
  • 1940s (1 hour presentation on the art, music, movies, and books of the time and how they were affected by events of the time. 3/20)

EDIT: Updated date for debate. Also, the 1940s presentation went well.

Busy

I’ve been real busy lately, hence the none existent posts. Now that I’m done traveling for a bit I simply need to catch up on work and I’ll be back. Course I’m not to worried about losing readers since, I’m quite sure I have…well none. :)

Edit: Heh, now that I look at my feed stats I may have one person :Dso sorry about the lack of post.

Linux: What would you choose?

Alright, I’m wondering what distro people out there prefer. I know among many Ubuntu is quite popular, but I’m curious what other distros strike a fancy with you and why.

I’m trying to decide what to install on my second partition and am currently undecided on what Linux distro it shall be. I need something that is easy to use, and preferably boots fast and comes with decent multimedia support built in. I know I can always strike out on my own to install the multimedia drives but frankly I’m a tad lazy :) and not all that great at working with Linux. Currently I’ve tried Ubuntu, openSUSE, freespire, and I have the latest version of Dreamlinux downloaded to check out. I also plan to check out Ubuntu Studio once it gets released (damn the screen shot looks nice).

Update: I’ve pulled up a link to Amazon’s UnSpun list. Currently it is Ubuntu (4304), Redhat (1913), and openSUSE (1000) for the top three.

Also, because I’m expecting very little input (alright no input) on this post I’m going to just go ahead and install Ubuntu 6.10, but I’m still open for input.

Update2: Anyone know how to get VitualBox to boot from a cd properly? I keep getting fatal error when it starts to try and boot the system.

Zune Windows XP Theme

This is just an update to my last post. I have been made aware of Microsoft’s Zune theme for XP. I haven’t personally tried it yet, but it looks similar the Royal Noir theme (I’ve read that it is not too similar). For now I provide you with Microsoft’s download link and a link to downloadsquad’s November article.

I’ll post some screen shots later.

EDIT: Didn’t even notice the comment on CodeJacked about this. Also added images.
